Phil also joins the Technical Working Group which evaluates and recommends technical rule changes.

Phil introduces himself:

Hello, for those that may not know me, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Phil Green and KartSport New Zealand  has recently appointed me to the Chief Scrutineer role. I live in Tauranga and am a Life Member of KartSport Bay of Plenty.

I have been involved in karting since 2002 when I brought a kart and raced Yamaha Heavy at club level over a 3 to 4 year span.

I was a member of the Club's Committee for several years holding various positions including Webmaster, Publicity Officer, Club Captain and Vice President.

A mechanic by trade, I was quickly recruited as a Club Scrutineer, which lead on to KartSport New Zealand's Machine Examiner title when that was introduced, followed a number of years later by taking on a Techical Officer position.

With 27 years experience at a couple of franchise dealerships, I changed my career path 15 months ago and am now working as an installation engineer for a local air conditioning company who specialise in the commercial and domestic markets.

I look forward to carrying out the role and being involved in our great sport in the years to come.

Best Regards
Phil Green
