BRAY TOPS KZ2 QUALIFYING ORDER IN ITALY
Kiwi karter Daniel Bray has thrown the form book out the window at the 2012 CIK-FIA World Cup meeting for KZ2 kart race meeting at Sarno in Italy, beating all the top European drivers to complete a clean sweep of his four heat races to start today (Sunday's) Pre-Final from pole position.
After qualifying fourth for the heat races, works GP Karts driver Bray, 25, from Auckland, won the first heat on Friday then went on to win his other three on Saturday to end the day as the top KZ2 class driver with highly rated British driver Jordan Lennox-Lamb second and Sweden's Viktor Oberg third.
With the 100-plus entrants now whittled down to 34 Bray will now start today (Sunday's) Pre-Final from pole then start the Final from where he finishes in the Pre-Final.
