Kinsman & Sodi #1 to Contest Rotax Grand Finals Again

Sodi Kart NZ and International Kart Supplies will be represented by Mathew Kinsman for the third year in a row at the Rotax Kinsmanhb.jpgGrand Finals after a set of outstanding performances in the 2014 Schwarzkopf NZ Rotax Max Challenge Series.  Kinsman had the bit between his teeth at every round, scoring an impressive five round wins from six starts in his Sodi chassis.

The series encountered some horrendous weather, which highlighted the superior characteristics of the Sodi chassis in the wet conditions.  The extremely wet rounds were completely dominated by Kinsman and he was almost unstoppable in the favourable conditions.  This year the Grand Finals are to be held in Valencia, Spain on 25-29 November.  Kinsman is hoping to improve on previous Grand Finals results in Spain, saying “We are stoked to have again confirmed ourselves as genuine leaders in the NZ kart market, edging out the more established brands every time we hit the track.  There’s room for improvement still, our small and dedicated Sodi team is focussed on being the #1 chassis choice for drivers”.Kinsman M ticket.jpg

Other Sodi drivers who contested the NZ Rotax Max Challenge were Ashley Higgins, James Higgins, Jack Bridgman and Maddison Wise in Rotax Max Light.  The Higgins brothers performed admirably in their first attempt at the series, with Wise competing in only two rounds due to other commitments.

Ryan Bailey won the final round of the 2014 Rotax Max Heavy series at the Strata Networks KartSport Auckland track in his Sodi kart, ahead of seasoned campaigners Aaron Cunningham, Tiffany Chittenden, Niki Urwin and Brendon Hart.  The Sodi Racing Team is planning a full assault on the NZ Rotax Max Series in 2015, across every class with the ultimate goal of taking a full team of Sodi drivers to the 2015 World Grand Finals.

International Kart Supplies (IKS) have been the NZ Sodi kart distributor for 4 years.  The group has collected 6 New Zealand titles and two NZ Rotax Max Challenge Series wins to date, as well as a growing CV of race and event podiums with the Sodi kart chassis across almost every class.  They offer a range of services to drivers, including training and technical setup as well as chassis and engine packages.
