Formula S KartSport President and now series promoter Steve Brown is excited to announce the introduction of KZ2 Restricted as a separate class in the ProKart Series for 2014.

Many of our elite drivers have come to KZ2 for KartSport’s number 1 challenge. The young stars of tomorrow together with the junior graduates all contribute towards the hot pace known as KZ2.

While considered the ultimate place of battle of the country's elite, many new KZ2 competitors have kept away from the ProKart Series due to the competitor not having the initial race pace. Whether it’s lack of experience, the current skills to fine tune the engine, unfamiliarity with chassis set up, or struggling to compete with the class weight.

The team at ProKart say NO MORE - KZ2 Restricted is your class. A spec engine tuning and rear axle will take away all the uncertainties. A MAW weight of 186kg will provide all the flexibility needed and add the licence restrictions within certain age breaks and we have in its trail year, a place for all those competitors that are too young for KZ2 Masters and perhaps lack the confidence of KZ2, a new place to race. All restrictions are as per rule E3.20 (which was published on the 5th Sept 2013 on KartSport New Zealand website).

Steve Brown would like to thank KartSport New Zealand for having the foresight and confidence in the ProKart Series to give this opportunity to expand the class. He would also congratulate members of the trade who have already embraced this concept and are sourcing drivers for 2014.

Any competitor looking to experience the ProKart Series and needs further information regarding this new class visit KartSport New Zealand’s website and see “New and updated rules” or contact Steve on 021 918270.
