2016 Series Details Released

With the 2016 ProKart series rules now approved and most of this year's competitors enjoying the spring weather it's now15ProKartSeriesKZ2Restricte.gif time to get focussed towards next year. In 12 weeks we will be kicking off Round 1 of the 2016 ProKart Series at Sulphur City in Rotorua where this year's racing will fulfil all expectations.

With second hand KZ2 packages being consumed by potential Restricted class competitors, numbers looks encouraging as the Series Promoters will be aiming for a grid of 25 with the KZ2 Restricted class being combined with the successful KZ2 Masters class again for 2016.

The pace in KZ2 Masters was definitely lifted in 2015 with some intense racing but Series Promoter Steve Brown is adamant it’s the camaraderie and social enjoyment amongst competitors that will be the focus for ProKart 2016.

The Formula 1 of karting, KZ2 will hopefully entice competitors from across the ditch again to come and do battle with some of New Zealand’s Karting top guns, and up and coming young KZ2 karters will try and close the gap to those more15ProKartSeriesRnd5AckKZ2ChrisCoxlr-1.jpg seasoned campaigners. The team at ProKart agree that the brand dominance maybe challenged this coming year by other Kart brands which are looking to secure a path for incoming competitors.

The success of Vortex Mini ROK in last year's ProKart Series far surpassed expectations with ProKart receiving rave reviews from many fathers and acknowledgements that the ProKart Series played a big part in aiding these young stars in preparation in our major events and international competition. Last year's racing was spectacular at times with 2016 predicted to be no different.
2016 will see the introduction of Cadet ROK where our new entrants to the sport will also be given the opportunity to experience ProKart and its very challenging race format. The prestige of being crowned the first ProKart Cadet ROK champion will be up for grabs along with the spoils.15ProKartSeriesVortexminirokFynnOsbone14leadsRyanWoodNSatFinalstartlr-1.jpg

The Team at ProKart are excited with the prospects of being part of Host Clubs iconic event as this opportunity will expose and promote the series to the grass roots and club day racer hopefully encouraging them to be part of what keeps many coming back year after year...

Time is a ticking so enter to secure a class for ProKart 2016.
