ProKart Series Secures first Major Prize
for 2015

SB Promotions is delighted to announce the winner of the Vortex Mini Rok class in the 2015 ProKart Series will have the Minirok40rwoodschools.jpgopportunity to compete at the final Round of the Australian Championship on the 31st Oct – 2nd Nov at the Beckley Park Raceway in Victoria and hosted by the Geelong Kart Club.

The opportunity will include, Kart, Motor, Event entry fees and the services of Kiwi legend Dale Verrall (now based in Yatala, Queensland) for the weekend.

Negotiations are also still ongoing to secure 2 more entries for the KZ2 and KZ2 Masters winners and we hope to have full details by the first round of the 2015 ProKart Series in Rotorua on the 31st January- 1st Feb.

Steve Brown (Director of SB Promotions) said “Our focus over earlier years has been to try and send drivers to Las Vegas to the annual SKUSA meeting. The scale of event and the sheer experience of the meeting was always a driver for us. But with rising costs securing these packages and the introduction of our first Junior class this year has made us rethink our focus.

We have a big talent pool across the ditch and we think it is a natural stepping stone for our drivers to take their first international steps a little closer to home – less travel time, familiar chassis and engines, and for us a little more cost effective.

Also the Trans-Tasman philosophy has a great ring to it. We are both pretty competitive people, have a lot of tradition and rivalry in many sports and can hopefully in time lead to travel both ways between our two countries. We’re pretty excited about the opportunities”
