Get ahead of of the pack, sign up now for one of Kartsport’s official “Explore and Learn” ACADAMY driver development courses. Only New Zealand’s very best coaches have been selected, all carry championship status, all have competed at the highest level nationally and many excelled in the heat of international challenges. The coaching team is ready to share their skills and passion with you and your crew.

Open to current Kartsport members the “Stage One” level Explore and Learn one day courses are aimed at relatively new members of all classes who have entered a minimum of 5 meetings and are looking to take that next step up in terms of setup and driver knowledge. A crewmember is encouraged to accompany the driver and for those under 18 this is mandatory. The crew will be encouraged to take an active part in the training day especially with regards to kart preparation and set up procedures. Space is limited so enrol now.

Graeme is a member of the KartSport New Zealand Executive and has a wide range of managerial experience, most recently in the travel industry. Graeme is father of Richard and was a key member of the team which attended the 2006 Rotax Grand Finals in Portugal.

The appointee for Head Coach 2011 is Tony Chambers. Many of you will know Tony and the respect he has gained as a National Champion, for his offshore exploits and his passion and commitment to karting in general. Like many he is actively involved in many areas, an existing ACADEMY coach, competitor and loyal trade supporter.

Tony is one of a rare breed who easily puts aside personal or commercial preferences for the good of the sport and his passion and input for drivers of all ages and all levels will be a real asset to the ACADEMY and karting in general.

Originally from Hamilton and now based in Auckland, Mt Wellington has for the past 4 years been Tony's 'home' club. Tony is proprietor of Right Karts and during the time working at the shop has helped a lot of drivers at Rotax World Finals and other CIK events in Australia, Spain, Portugal, Hong Kong and the UK as well as assisting many karters locally, both customers and his opposition. Tony will in fact go out of his way to help any other karter and was a natural selection for Head Coach.
