16.01.2012  2012 SuperKart Champs and GP Fuel and Tyre Testing
 

The KartSport New Zealand National Technical Officer, John Lennox, has advised that testing of fuel and tyre samples taken at the 2012 Superkart Championships and GP have been concluded. Of the samples tested, these were found to comply with the rules.

13.01.2012  Round 3 Supreme Kart Supplies WPKA Goldstar Series - Hawkes Bay
 

Round 3 of the 2011-12 Supreme Kart Supplies WPKA Gold Star Series will be hosted by KartSport Hawkes Bay at the ZM Raceway, Highway 50, Roys Hill, Hastings, on Sunday 4th March 2012. 30.12.2011  North and South Island Sprint Championship Results
 

As a result of post racing technical analysis and a Stewards Hearing, S Bainbridge has been disqualified from the 2011 NI Sprint Championships, 100cc Junior Restricted Yamaha class and that all competitors from 8th down now move up one place. Fuel and tyre sample analysis from both the North and South Island Championships have been completed and all other results from both  events are now confirmed.

12.12.2011  Top Half for 2012 Shortened to 3 Rounds
 

The Top Half series will be contested over 3 rounds in 2012. The confirmed dates are Kartsport Hamilton 10-11th March, Kartsport Eastern Bay of Plenty 22nd April, and the finale at Kartsport Mt Wellington 10th June.  The series will begin with very competitive fields for the first round at Hamilton which will be an ideal shakedown prior to Nationals.  Mark these dates in your calendar. Supplementary Rules and Entry Forms are available here.

08.12.2011  Twilight Trans-Tasman Challenge and Rotax Max Round 1 - Manawatu
 

KartSport Manawatu will host the Twilight Trans-Tasman Challenge and Rotax Max Challenge Round 1 at the Manawatu Toyota Raceway, Palmerston North on Saturday 18th Feb 2012. 06.12.2011  2012 NZ Masters Games - Dunedin
 

Kartsport Dunedin will proudly host the 2012 New Zealand Masters Games this coming Waitangi weekend on February the 4th & 5th. This weekend like others in the past are based round the social aspect but as always there is plenty of competitive racing once the lights go out. To qualify for this fantastic event you must be 30 years plus as at the 28th of January 2012. There are 3 age groups contested for Yamaha KT100 and Rotax Max 125 and just 30 years plus for Open. Minimum all up weights are; Yamaha 153kg and Rotax Max 175kg. Apart from age groups, minimum weights and minimum C rating for all classes, this event will be run under the rules of Kartsport New Zealand Manual, a One Day Licence is allowed for this event - Rule D2.2 in the 2011 Manual, you must have held a Kartsport or Car Racing Licence to obtain a One Day Licence. 28.11.2011  Sports Tribunal Hearing - Scott Manson v KartSport New Zealand
 

The Sports Tribunal hearing - Scott Manson v KartSport New Zealand - for the appeal lodged with the Tribunal by Scott Manson against the KartSport New Zealand Appeal Board decision to disqualify Scott Manson, Kart #9, Rotax Max Junior, from the first round of the 2011 Rotax Max Challenge in Palmerston North on February 19th was heard on 12th October in Auckland. The Sports Tribunal decision was released, with reasons to follow, due to the urgency required with the pending Rotax Max Grand Finals. The appeal was dismissed which meant that the KartSport New Zealand Appeal Board decision was upheld.
