At its meeting on 3 November, the World Council had ratified the programme of the CIK-FIA 'U18' Karting World Championship and CIK-FIA Karting Academy Trophy, granting the organisation of their third and last event to Bahrain, where a brand-new circuit is currently being built and has already been pre-inspected by the CIA-FIA Officials. The date of this event has been validated: it will take place on 3, 4 and 5 November 2011.

The complete 2011 calendar of these two competitions therefore appears as follows:

08-10 July: Ortona (ITA)

26-28 August: Essay (FRA)

03-05 November: Bahrain (BHR)

The preliminary test days will be staged on 3 and 4 June 2011, on a track which remains to be determined.

14-15 May: Magny-Cours (FRA)

10-12 June: Most (CZE)

05-07 August: Assen (NLD)

Within the framework of the invitations to tender issued by the FIA as regards Karting, the following bidders have been retained:

• Panta for the single-supply of fuel in the CIK-FIA Championships held in Europe on short circuits in 2011. Second-generation "E10" type fuel (non-food bio-ethanol) will be supplied to the competitors of the 2011 'U18' World Karting Championship and CIK-FIA Karting Academy Trophy;

• Dunlop for the single-supply of tyres in the CIK-FIA Championships, Cups and Trophies for KZ1 and KZ2 in 2011;

• Vega for the single-supply of tyres in the CIK-FIA Championships, Cups and Trophies for KF2 and KF3 held in Europe in 2011;

• Le Cont for the single-supply of tyres in the 2011 «U18» Karting World Championship and CIK-FIA Karting Academy Trophy.

For each of the six categories concerned by the invitations to tender issued by the FIA for 2011, the tyre-Manufacturers will offer free racing tyres to all participants! To this exceptional promotion the tyre-Manufacturers concerned will still add rewards for the prize-winners, either in the form of money prizes or as sets of new tyres.
