Reigning New Zealand Senior 100cc Yamaha Heavy champion Hunter and Concut teammate Boote made no race of the gruelling annual event, winning by three full laps from multi-time former race winner and current New Zealand 125cc Rotax Max Light champion Matthew Hamilton and his teammate, young gun Matthew Penrose. Special guest, Tasman Motorsports V8 Supercar driver Jason Richards, and his teammate Hamish Cross (who won the Senior Two Hour race last year) finished third a further two laps back. The Enduro meeting, this year supported by Jason Richards' Tasman Motorsport sponsor Big Ben Pies, is one of the biggest and most popular events on the Christchurch Kart Club calendar. The Senior is one of three endurance-length races held on the day, with a 45 minute race for Juniors and a half-hour one for Cadets. This year's Junior race was won by Alex Webb from James Penrose and Michael Collins, this year's Cadet one by Ryan Yardley from Keiran Woods and Ayden Polaschek. 2008 Big Ben Pies Enduro meeting Powerbuilt Tools Kart Raceway Carrs Rd Halswell Christchurch Sunday May 25 Senior (2 hrs) 1.
