Following a review of the results announced at the event, Arrow has now been confirmed as the winner of the NZ Sprint Manufacturer’s Cup for 2011.
Unfortunately the chassis brand of two Cadet competitors was incorrectly stated by those concerned at confirmation of entries. The subsequent correction of these errors has changed the result of the winning brand from Monaco, announced at the event, to now Arrow winning.
KartSport Southland and KartSport New Zealand wish to apologise to both Monaco and Arrow for this situation and any embarrassment caused. In future, formal chassis brand inspection will be implemented at the conclusion of the Finals, rather than just rely on the information provided by competitors at entry confirmation, to establish the Manufacturer’s Cup points.
This year the Cup was the most closely contested ever with Arrow (2 titles) finishing just 3 points ahead of Monaco (3 titles). Intrepid also won two titles with one each for Kiwi Kart, GP Kart and Exprit.
