KartSport New Zealand Inquiry - 18 December 2007
   

A KartSport New Zealand Inquiry was convened to review the penalty issued to Shane Boote at the North Island Sprint Kart Championships held at the KartSport Wellington (Lascom Raceway) Track on October 19th, 20th & 21st 2007.

                        Tarnia Richardson - KSNZ Exec Member

                        Peter Fraser - Kartsport Dunedin

Appellant:         Colin McLennan

Defendant:        Shane Boote

Complaint was based on Rule 6.5d “Not running approved KSNZ tyres”

Outcome:

While Kartsport New Zealand regards the offence as a grave matter worthy of serious disciplinary action due to a number of issues including procedural matters have dictated the matter on this occasion will not be taken further.
Steps have been taken to ensure any similar occurrences where Kartsport New Zealand rules and regulations are deliberately flouted will be treated appropriately in the future.
