How did you get into karting?

After originally riding motocross, I decided to switch to Karting after a decent injury and decided I would like to pursue track racing. My father Murray used to race, so through karting we were both able to share our passion for the sport. I love all forms of motorsport, but car racing and karting always was more of my passion over motorbikes- which I still enjoy today.

What do you love most about karting?

I love the close competition and competitiveness of kart racing. You consistently need to improve and maximise every aspect of the sport in order to remain competitive.

Who is your major influence in the sport?

My dad. He constantly pushed me to be the best driver I can be, and without him I would not have achieved what I have to this day.

Who do you look up to in karting or other spheres?

Tony Chambers and Daniel Bray, who are both very talented drivers and have helped mentor me over the years to become the driver I am today. I have always looked up to Michael Schumacher and Aryton Senna as they are, in my opinion, two of the best drivers ever.

What are your goals in the sport?

To win national championships and podium or win at a karting world championships.

What are your major achievements so far?

2019 1st NZ Rotax Max Challenge Series
