Event Instructions for Covid19 Alert Levels

Many of the event management advice contained in these Alert level 2 instructions still apply and the page is being maintained in case any areas may return to a LOCKDOWN status
Update 21 October 2021: New Alert Level 2 Rules
ATTENTION. The New Zealand Government and associated authorities Covid19 Alert level guidelines change by the minute and without notice. KartSport New Zealand has done their best to interpret the various guidelines and apply them in a responsible manner but takes no responsibility for their ongoing compliance or accuracy, nor for any and all changes that may occur without notice.
Clubs holding authorised Covid19 Alert Level 2 permits may operate subject to the following government-dictated amendments for sports events during COVID-19 restrictions such as hygiene requirements, social distancing requirements and clarification around the number of people allowed at events.
No KartSport events are able to take place under Levels 3 & 4.
The following guidelines are in place for KartSport Purpose-built venues: "A purpose-built circuit or dedicated club grounds/venue."
KartSport events at affiliated tracks are purpose-built venues: Refer Government Covid19 Rules: "Events at Alert Level 2"
There are no restrictions on the number of people that can attend an event at a purpose-built venue so long as everyone can safely stay 1 metre apart. Attendees can be seated or standing.
Spectators can be at the event, so long as at all times, they are separated as in 1 above. There are no restrictions on the number of spectators that can attend a sporting event, for example at a stadium or arena — as long as everyone can safely stay 1 metre apart.
All competitors, crews, officials, volunteers and event organisers are required to make themselves familiar with the applicable club/event Covid19 Alert Level 2 Track Safety Plans prior to competing or attending events.

Only Clubs or Events with a KSNZ approved level 2 plan can hold events/practice under level 2

Gathering Limits

Contact Tracing Reminders
There are three important components to contact tracing that applies to everyone at the event, including spectators.

Clubs have the responsibility to ensure the following are complied with if the Clubs shop and bar is to be opened.

At Alert Level 2 the risk of COVID-19 being present in the community is high. Covid-Delta is highly transmissible via airborne aerosol particles.
Compliance
All persons have a duty to comply with COVID-19 Public Health Response Act 2020 and specifically section 10 , Health Orders issued by the Director-General ( Alert level requirements). Section 26 provides for a fine of up to $4000 or 6-month imprisonment for wilful/intentional failure to comply with a health order.
Approved Covid19 Alert Level 2 Safety Plans
The following clubs are recorded as processed and approved with Covid-19 track Safety plans for authorised Alert Level 2 event operations.
Series: ProKart and Top Half Series are not operated in Covid-19 Alert Level 2
Alert Level 2 Operational Authorisation
KartSport Practice and or Events in Covid19 Alert Level 2 (C19AL2) may only operate if all KartSport New Zealand Alert Level 2 Instructions & Supplementary Rules are fully implemented approved and abided by.
Covid19 Alert levels constantly change by region. Please check with your club and or event promotor regarding cancelled and or amended events information.
This includes KartSport Club events held in regions that are in Alert Level 1 but where attendees enter or visit from an Alert Level 2 area.
