SPRINT CLASSES

As a sport that caters for a wide range of demographics, KartSport New Zealand enjoys a wide range of classes, giving you a fantastic opportunity to find the most suitable option.

Sprint classes are broken into Championship and Non-Championship. The former has the ability to compete at every level of karting, including National Championships. While non-championship classes are club-level options, catering for time-poor or lower budget competitors, plus engine and class combinations of yesteryear.

View the video for each class below to get more of an understanding of the sport. Be aware, some videos cover multiple categories due to the crossovers between engines. When deciding which class to compete in, it's also wise to get a feel which categories are strong in your local area, so you can be sure you'll have others to race.
