KartSport New Zealand "Hosted-Events" Roster.

All major events are shared and allocated in advance on a rostered basis to KartSport New Zealand Affiliated Clubs nationwide. KartSport is working to introduce a system that will indicate future venues up to 3 years in advance.

To qualify to host an affiliated event the club and track must meet certain criteria:

  1. The host club must meet the Track Code compliance criteria for the application at the time of formal application to host i.e For the KartSport Sprint Nationals the track must be A-rated
  2. KartSport New Zealand will send out invitations to the Clubs to host an event.
  3. Hosting Agreements are required for all events
  4. Deposits are required and Performance bonds are held
  5. All criteria for events must be met including delivering a facility that meets the Track and Safety code.
  6. Clubs must make a formal application to the KartSport New Zealand Competitions Manager to host an event by the dates listed below. The deadline dates listed below are a year prior to the date of the actual event.
  • By 1st February - National Sprint Championships 
  • By 1st May - National Schools Championships and CIK Trophy of New Zealand
  • By 1st August - North & South Island Sprint Championships and National Endurance Championships

National Sprint Championships (Easter Weekend)

  • Every third year the Nationals are to be held in the South Island should a SI club apply.
