KartSport New Zealand is governed by a national Board, all of whom are volunteers. The Board employs a full-time Chief Operating Officer and a full-time Competitions Manager to administer the sport on a day to day basis, plus provide future development.
Certain Board positions, the President, Vice President, plus three Board Representatives are elected, on a staggered basis, for two-year terms at each National Conference. The elected Board Members can also appoint a further two Board Members for the following one year period. The National Steward and National Technical Officer, plus additional positions such as that of National Secretary, National Treasurer, Licencing Secretary, National Race Control Advisor, Medical Office are appointed by the Board annually following the National Conference.
